It's a bit like Halloween for me - an American tradition that I haven't really jumped on board with.
In the last couple of weeks though, I've been feeling the love.
I joined Sarah's lovely good mail club last year and have just sent off some heart/love themed mail to brighten up some letterboxes.
I filled my envelopes with little papery treats - origami hearts, Moo mini cards and stickers.
I also made very quick and easy heart garlands from little hearts punched from paint chip colours and twine. I had intended to send these too but the girls fell in love (!!) with them and they stayed here.
Are you celebrating the 14th? or are you more about celebrating the everyday like me (those little rainbow hearts are making me smile every time I walk past)?
♥
I don't celebrate the 14th aside from my friend's birthday ... I did receive a solitary rose one year and a couple of random cards ... but nothing for a few years now ;-)
ReplyDeleteThese are very pretty Ally :-)
I have a friend who has her birthday on Feb 14th and she hates it - can never have a meal out without being surrounded by gushy or fighting couples!!
DeleteI got your lovely heart on Friday dear Ally! It put a smile on my face after a hard day at work :) Thank you! Hopefully mine in the next coming days... Happy Valentines Day!

Glad it made you smile. I'll be eagerly checking the letterbox this week :-)
DeleteThat heart garland is so pretty, I love all the bright colours. Such a good idea. xx
ReplyDeleteAnd so easy - totally my sort of crafting
DeleteFor one that's not into celebrating Valentine's day, you've certainly made a lovely effort. This is all so lovely, especially the heart garland, I can see why your girls didn't let that leave the house :)
ReplyDeleteWe've got three Leanne - all making us smile
Deletevalentines is not something I've ever really celebrated, but some pretty things sure do get made :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for hearts - you know that!
DeleteOooh I love the heart garland. So cute and easy. I'm secretly hoping valentines day is not forgotten in this household but won't be too bummed if it is :)
ReplyDeleteMy expectations are always VERY low - its nice to be surprised sometimes though
DeleteI also have a friend whose birthday is on the 14th.
ReplyDeleteLove your hearts, I can see how girls would fall in love with them :)
The 14th is my partners and my anniverary.... But like you, we celebrate the every day xx
ReplyDeleteOh the garland JUST LOVELY! To tell you the truth I almost forget every year "the 14th" we're like you...but gosh all the pretty things you've made maybe I might get into it from now on ;)
ReplyDeleteYour good mail is always so so pretty Ally. No, I don't celebrate Valentines - ok, maybe once or twice in my life, but the other half is not into all the commecialism - a good excuse I say. But, I am liking the idea of receiving some pretty mail, so I think it will be my best Valentines yet!
ReplyDeleteOh my. Where do you find the time. Those are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWe always celebrate love, but not on Valentine's Day x.
What beautiful mail! I'm off to check out the mail list :-)
ReplyDeleteSarah x
PS I'm not big on Valentines or Halloween....have never cared for either :-)
this looks like a lovely package! lucky person who gets it. :)
ReplyDeletethe garland is super sweet, too.
I've never celebrated valentines or halloween, especially not halloween as it's more importantly my younger sister's birthday. But I'm not against them, they just don't mean much to me.
You are going to make some people very happy when they open their letter boxes and get this mail, it all looks so pretty Ally. We aren't huge on Valentine's Day but I do like to make a card for my hubby. xx
