~ grateful for....being a mum ~

{Me - complete with glasses, stripes, smile and a brooch!}

I'm grateful for being a mum this week.
We had Mothers Day over the weekend and I was thoroughly spoilt with lovely cuddles, kisses, beautiful words and precious handmade gifts.

{bit worried about the weekend business - otherwise...awwww!}

I actually feel grateful for this every day.
That my road to motherhood was easy.
That I am blessed with 3 beautiful, healthy children and the opportunity to raise them here in this lucky country the way I choose.

I'm learning more every single day about what it means to be a mum and I'm so grateful that I'm here, right now, doing it every day.

I'm linking with Maxabella who blogs every week about being grateful.
What are you grateful for this week?

  1. Ohh that is just BEAUTIFUL! I have no doubt that you are an awesome mum :) So glad you had such a wonderful day. xox

  2. PS. I forgot to say, I love Jack's drawing of you. Cutest thing EVER!

  3. Brilliant, that looks just like you :-) You haven't changed at all.

    What a lovely Mothers Day you enjoyed.

    Lesley x.

  4. How sweet your babies are! I'm learning more about what it means to be a mum each day too! Oh, and That's what I'd like to do on the weekend, but don't often get the chance! X

  5. that is the sweetest letter.
    you must definitely be a wonderful mum to raise such a wonderful little being that writes you such sweet letters.

    i am thankful everyday for being a mum, it sounds corny but it is so true.
    hugs ♥

  6. aw, such sweet gifts. this is lovely.
    I'm grateful for my mum :)

  7. So beautiful. You have quite artistically talented kiddos! Enjoy sitting and doing nothing this weekend! ;) ha! Ha - if only! My son had something similar at kinder and was asked what mum liked to watch on tv - his answer - 'adult shows'!! Hilarious and rather embarrassing!

  8. Beautiful post Ally. Nice to know your children appreciate you, and yes, we do have so much to be grateful for.

  9. Oh those pictures are the cutest! I particularly love Jack's drawing of you :) Glad you had a wonderful Mother's Day. x

  10. These are lovely, but Jack's especially made me smile! Definitely something to be grateful for.

  11. Hand-made gifts from your kids are the bomb! I have one my son made at pre-school 18 years ago, still framed and hanging on the wall. It's one of my special treasures.

  12. Beautiful Ally, what beautiful children! I'm goose-bumpy and teary! I'm grateful for that, for being and feeling alive. Thank you! xxxxx

  13. It's great that you've captured these special gifts, Ally. A memento on your blog to treasure forever. x

I'd love to hear from you - in fact it will probably make my day
