~ our joyful moments - week 30 ~

 

Beautiful nature shots this week with the first of the spring blossoms appearing here in Hobart and that gorgeous afternoon light in southern Sweden where Karin has been visiting.

#ourjoyfulmoments is a weekly photography collaboration between Sweden and Australia - sharing the little moments of the week that bring us joy.

~ stills {from home again} ~

 

1.  The heart of our home.  The monthly wall calendar still has April's appointments - I'll get to August soon.

2.  The mural on the school sport's pavillion - Lily completed her part before we left - and lots has been added since.  Above her animal (not a rat as I keep calling it) is the motto...size doesn't matter - its so perfect for her.

3.  After school drop-off I often walk along the river to the beach - this is my view.

4.  The Doc fell in love with espresso for breakfast - he bought us a pod coffee machine this week.  He makes a good cup.

5.  The view of kunanyi (Mt Wellington) from our back deck - hard to believe it's winter.

6.  The littlest one had his first ever game of school soccer yesterday - he was so happy - and he scored a goal!

7.  Foraged wintery pieces for our bookcase.



We've been home a week.  I've unpacked (nearly) everything although it hasn't all made it through the washing machine yet.

We are slowly re-adjusting our body clocks, our routines, our clothing choices ... everything really.

The days have been chilly but clear and beautiful - it's  easy to remember why we chose here to make our home.

~ our joyful moments - week 29 ~

Hello again.  We are back in Tassie and I'm enjoying the early signs of spring from my garden and generally settling back in at home. 

Karin has been spending her time with friends near the beach - it looks so good from chilly Hobart.

We visited Burano in Venice this week and I was completely entranced by all the colourful houses....now I'm dreaming of a pink house by the sea. 

Karin has been enjoying the seaside with friends too. That blue is so calming.

~ our joyful moments - week 27~

Sunflowers and rainbows...such joyful subjects. 

I found fields of sunflowers just near San Gimignano and had to pull over!! 

Karin has been near Lake Vänern for a wedding...what stunning scenery.

~ Florence ~

Florence is one of my very favourite places in Europe.  The light always seems magical...especially the glowy, golden hues that arrive at dusk and dance over the river and those glorious buildings.  

We were lucky enough to visit twice this time...once during the day and then again for a sunset dinner. 

The views from Piazzale Michelangelo out over the Arno and the Duomo are simply stunning (even the children were heard to "ooh") ...and its free parking!!

We came home laden with goodies...gold leaf embossed journals for the girls, vintage postcards and some gloves for me. And golden memories. 

** It was hard to resist the "David" boxers but, somehow, we managed.
