Winter's chill is still in the air but my garden is glowing yellow in the low afternoon light. Daffodils, snow flakes and jonquils scattered through the garden, showing their cheery faces. I gathered a bunch for the kitchen table. My mood board for this time last year is here. Every month I collate a mood board from my garden - I share them with other photographer/gardeners via Asa and Karin's lovely blogs. How does your garden grow?
Gorgeous! I'm waiting for my snowflakes and jonquils to appear. Our garden is looking lovely, but rather bare at the moment. Our camellia is on its last few blooms, a few lone orchids and a hit of yellow but I've decided we need to add some colour to our winter garden...
How gorgeous!!! I love daffies and jonnies and don't they bring sunshine to the garden this time of year? I've recently built a new house and so am still setting up my garden. I've popped in some bulbs but I don't think they will flower now until next year. I'm missing my old house right now as it would be a mass of yellow sunshine. Your photos are beautiful and what a lovely blog. I'm a new follower!!! x
You do take the most gorgeous botanical photos Ally. I'm sure I've said this before but I feel really inspired to join in with your garden mood boards. Not surprisingly, mine would look very similar to yours right now - jonquils, daffodils and snow bells have all bloomed this week - Spring is just around the corner :-) Mel x
Absolutely adore those photos, so pretty! I can see that spring is approaching down-under and autumn will soon be here. Looking forward to a lovely August though! :) Enjoy it! xo
So pretty! I adore winter, but I also love warmer weather & early spring blooms. We went for a walk the other day and I noticed some trees around town blossoming.
They are really stunning Ally. I love yellow and white and now even more I am hanging out for our flowers to bloom! Spring can't come quick enough for me! Xx
Beautiful and so cheery. Mine have just started to bloom as well. I love the moodboards but I've just been so busy, or rather so slack :)
ReplyDeletehow lovely - we have some jonquils & our anemones are opening too :)

ReplyDeleteI love this idea Ally - I might well join you each month. There are magnolias aplenty around us at the mo so that's something I'd love to capture. x

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I love the idea of the mood boards, capturing the garden in all its seasons.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am a big fan of freesias, daffodils and the like but come to think of it I've never grown them! Must do something about that.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I planted some viola and dianthus seedlings, the flowers will be pretty pinks and blues :-)
So pretty!
